Winter isn’t just tough on your skin, your hair takes a fair battering too! To stop your tresses becoming dull and static, here’s the winter hair care tips you need
The combination of the volatile winter weather and the office/home heating rapidly draws moisture out of your hair. To combat this, pick up an ultra-moisturising shampoo and conditioner to help restore some balance.
For added moisture, you should start incorporating a hair mask into your routine once a week. Try and leave it in overnight to allow it to really penetrate your hair, particularly your roots, to promote healthy hair growth. If you don’t want to splash out on an expensive mask, the miracle that is coconut oil is a great alternative!
Where possible, try and avoid styling with heated hair appliances, as these won’t do your dry hair any favours. If you can’t pair to part with your straighteners, make sure you’re using a good heat protection spray.
One of the biggest impacts winter can have on your hair is causing it to become static or encourage flyaway hairs. Pick up a smoothing product that you can apply while on the go to keep your barnet in check.
A hat is a necessity for winter, but it inevitably causes the dreaded hat hair. Carry a salt spray or dry shampoo with you, so you can easily restore some volume to your hair once the hat comes off.
